Endometriosis is a condition where cells similar to endometrial cells start to grow in regions that are outside the uterine cavity. These cells behave in a manner similar to the endometrial cells present in the uterine cavity and vary according to the hormone levels and lead to several problems such as pelvic pain and infertility.

Endometriosis currently has no known cure and brings about pain and discomfort in most sufferers and is a cause of infertility for many women.
